Peculiar Dynamics Ltd (trading as Lastli), Company No. 14575056, 71-75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lastli website and application (the "Service"), operated by Peculiar Dynamics Ltd (Company No. 14575056), trading as Lastli, registered at 71-75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. Nature of the Service
Lastli provides automated administrative tools to help you organise probate and estate administration tasks, including checklists, ledgers, document templates, and related guidance materials.
Lastli is not a law firm, solicitor, accountant, tax adviser, or regulated claims management business. We do not provide legal, financial, tax, or regulated claims management services within the meaning of the Legal Services Act 2007 or other applicable UK legislation.
Content within the Service is provided for general information and organisational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, or tax advice, and you must not rely on it as a substitute for advice from a qualified solicitor, accountant, tax specialist, or other regulated professional.
You remain solely responsible for meeting all legal, tax, and reporting obligations relating to any estate you administer, including deadlines imposed by HM Courts & Tribunals Service, HM Revenue & Customs, the Probate Registry, creditors, beneficiaries, and other third parties.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under the laws of England and Wales to use the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, misused the Service, or created risk to other users or to us.
4. Account Fees and Subscriptions
Lastli offers a free tier and a paid Premium tier. Feature availability may change over time; the in-product experience is the authoritative description of what is included in each tier.
Premium is currently offered as a one-off payment of £49 (inclusive of VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise at checkout) processed via Stripe. Payment grants you access to Premium features for your account, including advanced checklist stages, expanded ledger capacity, Document Vault downloads, and multi-estate management subject to the limits below.
If we introduce recurring subscription billing in future, separate terms shown at checkout will apply to that billing model. Any subscription would continue until cancelled in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and other applicable UK consumer law, where those laws apply to you.
Premium accounts are limited to a maximum of three (3) active estates per user account to prevent commercial misuse. Free accounts are limited to one (1) estate unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or expressly stated by us in writing. Statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law or regulation;
- Upload unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service except as permitted by law;
- Use the Service to provide regulated legal or financial advice to third parties without appropriate authorisation.
6. Intellectual Property
We own or license all intellectual property in the Service, including software, branding, templates, and editorial content. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your personal or internal estate administration purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of content you submit (for example, estate names, task notes, and ledger entries). You grant us a licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service.
7. Availability and Changes
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or withdraw features with reasonable notice where practicable.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be notified by email or in-product notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales.
Subject to the paragraph above, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Peculiar Dynamics Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, including loss of profits, goodwill, data, or business opportunity;
- We shall not be liable for any losses arising from missed legal deadlines, incorrect filings, tax penalties, beneficiary disputes, creditor claims, or other outcomes of estate administration undertaken using the Service;
- Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the greater of (a) £100 or (b) the total fees you paid to us in that twelve-month period.
You acknowledge that estate administration carries inherent legal and financial risk and that the Service is an organisational aid only.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Peculiar Dynamics Ltd and its directors, officers, and employees from claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights that may allow you to bring proceedings in your country of residence where applicable law requires.
